The Handmaid’s Tale fans furious over ‘forgotten’ storyline. The Handmaid’s Tale came to an end this year but fans have been left disappointed by a storyline which appeared to have been forgotten

After the explosive ending of the penultimate The Handmaid’s Tale episode, which saw Commander Lawrence and Nick Blaine die, fans were keen to see how the series would be wrapped up.
For many characters, there were happy endings – sort of. Janine was finally reunited with Charlotte as Naomi Putnam agreed to hand over her daughter.
Emily made a return and reunited with June, revealing she had been working in Gilead undercover as a Martha and still in contact with Sylvia and Oliver.
June also got to reunite with her mother, Holly, and daughter Nichole (also called Holly).

Moira and Rita were involved in the liberation of Boston and were seen celebrating the end of Gilead’s rule in the city.
However, fans have voiced their disappointment over a “forgotten” storyline, which was hinted at earlier in the series.
Viewers will remember Rita arrived in New Bethlehem at the start of season six in the hopes she could reunite with her sister.
Taking to Reddit to voice their frustration, one viewer posted: “Wait a second so Rita went to New Bethlehem to see her sister and then her sister is immediately forgotten never to be heard about ever again ??

“The more I think about the final season, the more stupid it gets. I especially think of Aunt Lydia who went from almost getting executed to somehow liberating herself and gaining a lot of power off-screen in a matter of days before going unnoticed to the border with Naomi to liberate Janine and her child …”
However, a fan clarified viewers did get to see Rita’s sister but they weren’t properly reunited.
“I think the sister might have been on a visit to NB, but she wasn’t officially moved there yet, because we didn’t see her arrive with any luggage. She talked to Nick about getting her sister out, and he refused to help. Hopefully she was in Boston when the USA took it over,” they shared.
